Advantages of stainless steel cookware

Stainless steel is one of my favorite. Make sure that you always make kitchen utensils with handles shaped fastening or in the database in a single room.Kitchen equipment made of stainless steel is probably the most common of all types of batteries, the kitchen. It starts as iron and has up to 8 different alloys added. This determines the quality of the product. Chromium and nickel are the most added. Chrome offers the resistance of the rust and corrosion in nickel adds an additional rust, as well as the hardness and adds to the high polish characteristics.  

You may have noticed that the numbers 18/10, 18 / 8 and 18 / 0 quoted some kitchen utensils or solid silver. Basically, this is the quantity of nickel and chromium in the product. Usually on the high-end products, do you see either 18/10 or 18 / 8 18 / 0 is on the low-end products that are less expensive and of lower quality. The products must be at least 11% chromium “to be”, and nickel is not required. Good cooking utensils made of stainless steel with 18% chromium and 8% to 10% nickel. That gives you the mirror polished processing and high brightness. 18 / 0 not nickel and, to this end, a dull and finished depends on certain rust and stains.

Here is a simple test that you can do on your kitchen utensils, to know what you did:

A magnet to your pot or pan, if you are the poles 18 / 0 stainless steel, if it is not liable, it is either 18 / 8 “or 18/10. This is because of the content of nickel in the alloy. What is the nickel-iron not neutralize the properties of iron in stainless steel. Lacking in nickel 18 / 0, the magnetic stick to it.

Some good advantages of stainless steel is that it is extremely durable. Depending on what the class of stainless steel, which you have tied up as it is sustainable. Remember, the nickel stronger and more sustainable, it is. It is not porous and extremely hard, is a good thing, because it is not with the food or absorb odors. The smooth surface is easy to clean and washable is dishwasher-safe. It is also resistant to scratches and teeth and is not responding to the diet. It’s also easy, at the end of the mirror.  A bad thing about stainless steel, it is a poor heat conduction, unless it has more than 1 wrinkles. 3 to 5 layers allows for a better conductivity. “Fold” means simply to shift the layers of the better conductivity.
